Practice Test 4 for Wallaby (A2-B1) level – English

This test consists of 20 multiple-choice questions. The allotted time is 30 minutes.

This test is suitable for students in grades VII-VIII, studying at A2-B1 (CEFR) levels. Candidates can understand texts that consist mainly of high frequency every day or job-related language. They can understand the description of events, feelings and wishes in personal letters. They can use simple and some complex language structures.

• 2 reading comprehension questions – reading and understanding signs, notices, short messages

·         1 alternative sentence formation – restructuring a sentence whilst retaining its original meaning.

• 2 reading comprehension text – reading a longer text and identifying its main components
  TOPIC:
  Lewis Carroll (Part I)

• 2 vocabulary and grammar questions – identifying collocations, simple verb patterns, etc.

• 5 questions based on a cloze – choosing the correct option to complete the gaps in a longer text
  TOPIC:
  The History of Theatre (Part I)

• 8 questions on general knowledge (related to English Literature, Geography, History, Arts, Logic, etc.).
